Description

The Daisy P offers the best precision a peristaltic pump can provide. The pump head is light yet stiff and equipped with 6 stainless steel rollers. Together, these features ensure smoother and more accurate pumping — even under higher back pressure conditions.

The specialized mounts pre-stretch the tubing and guide it within narrow grooves, preventing the tubing from slipping or shifting. This results in highly reproducible pumping performance during the entire lifetime of the tubing.

The mounts work with special tubing with end-stops, which prevent sliding during operation, further enhancing precision and accuracy.

New tubing installation is straightforward. Remove the tubing cartridge by pressing the elastic lock arm on the side (1) and attach new tubing as shown in (2) by stretching two adjacent tube stoppers between the arms of the cartridge. Some tubing models have three tube stoppers offering two pump attachment regions — when one section wears out, switch to the other section and reuse the tubing. Once installed on the cartridge, press the cartridge onto the pump head (3). The tubing will stretch and wrap over the top half of the roller-rotor assembly. Rotate the top lever counterclockwise (4) to apply pressure, and adjust the knob depending on the tubing’s outer diameter.

Whenever new tubing is installed, recalibrate the pump flow in the context of your application. If the pump connects to other tubing, channels, or devices, calibrate with everything connected to achieve the highest reproducibility and precision. Adjust the cartridge pressure knob as tubing stretches over time to maintain consistent flow.
