Daisy Controller App

The Daisy Controller App is a powerful software solution in a very simple package. Designed to streamline your Daisy automation environment, this plug-and-play application can control each instrument individually via virtual instrument panels, as well as all of your instruments simultaneously through simple Python scripting.

The software requires very little technical know-how to operate. In fact, its intuitive interface automatically detects the Daisy network’s current topology with the press of a button, without any manual configuration of the software necessary. Once the user selects a particular instrument from the list of modules detected, a virtual instrument panel automatically appears on-screen. The user may then choose operational settings for that instrument and run it individually with the push of a button.

There might be occasions in which the virtual instrument module will be more than sufficient for the user’s purposes. For instance, a peristaltic pump can be used for dosing and dispensing of reagents into a container. Once the speed and the calibrated target volume are set, the user simply needs to press a button to run the pump.

On other occasions, the user may want to select between various input and/or output streams, requiring Daisy valve units in addition to the pump. In such cases, a few lines of simple Python scripting will suffice. Don’t worry about learning any commands and their syntax. The settings from each virtual instrument panel can be copied as a full command onto the scripting window with the push of a button.
